Each game page has a step-by-step guide and a copyable address: Project Zomboid and DayZ. Both servers are modded, so subscribe to our Steam Workshop collection first; the guide links it.

Usually a mod updated on Steam and your copy (or ours) hasn't caught up yet.

• Restart Steam fully so it downloads pending Workshop updates, then try again.
• Project Zomboid: if one mod keeps failing, unsubscribe from it, wait a moment, and subscribe again.
• DayZ: in the DayZ Launcher, open Mods and let anything marked out of date finish updating.
• Still failing? The server may need a restart to pick up a new mod version. Tell us on Discord and we'll sort it.

Check the status page first. A short "starting" period after a restart is normal; heavily modded servers take a few minutes to boot. If it's been offline a while, staff are usually already on it.

Signing in links the website to the same SteamID our game servers already see, so we can show your stats and coins. Steam only tells us your public SteamID; we never see your password or email. Details in our privacy policy.

Coins are golly.gg's community currency. One balance across every server we run. You earn them by:

• playing: time on our servers and in-game milestones (see each game's page)
• joining our Steam group: 50 coins, once, claimed on your account page
• inviting friends: when someone new joins through your invite link and plays 3 hours, you get 100 coins and they get 50

Coins can't be bought, sold, traded or cashed out, and they have no real-world value.

Game stats are imported every minute or so, and shop items are delivered while you're online in game. Give it a few minutes, and check your history on your account page. If it's still missing after that, open a ticket with what you expected and roughly when.

Invites count for new players only: your friend has to open your link and sign in to golly.gg for the first time through it, and must not have played much on our servers before. The bonus pays once they've played 3 hours in total.

Open a ticket on Discord with the server, roughly when it happened, their in-game name and any screenshots or clips. Please don't call people out in public channels; let staff handle it.

Yes. Open a ticket, say which server and your Steam name, and explain your side calmly. Read the rules first. Cheating and hate speech bans are rarely lifted.

Yes. Open a ticket on Discord asking for your data to be deleted (or for a copy of it). We'll confirm it's you via Steam and remove your website account, stats and coins. See the privacy policy.
