The Siege of Kuttenberg
Co-op wave defence on KCD:MP. Gather a party at the Siegemaster, hold the banner in the town square against twenty waves of Erik's raiders, and build your gear from what they leave behind.
Talk to the Siegemaster in the town square to start one.
This week's mutator
Forced March
Raiders march 40% faster and the rest between waves is halved.

The game
Raise a party
Talk to the Siegemaster in the square, or press Home for the Commands page and choose Join. The leader picks the difficulty; anyone can join the party - and a siege under way takes newcomers up to wave 10.
Hold the banner
Twenty waves march on the banner in the town square. Stand on it - if the raiders take it, the siege is lost and the bounty with it. Downed? You're back when the wave is beaten.
Knights and the Lord of the Raid
Every fifth wave a notable knight leads them, with his guards; the twentieth brings the Lord of the Raid himself. Each knight may drop a named weapon - rolled for each of you.
The raiders' numbers, skill and gear climb wave by wave - and with the difficulty. New characters aren't meant to win alone: it's a grind of runs, building gear until a difficulty falls.
Easy
1-5 players
Naked rabble, then rags, then padded cloth
Rag & leather scraps
Medium
5-10 players
Rags to light armour to plate
+ Iron scraps
Hard
10-20 players
Rags to plate to elite plate
+ Steel scraps
Impossible
20+ players
Padded from the first wave, elite plate by the end
+ Masterwork scraps
Every raider downed pays groschen and siege XP: the killing blow 100%, everyone else who hurt it 50%, the rest of the party 25%. 400 siege XP is a skill point. Clear all 20 waves for a grade - S to D - that multiplies the bounty.
Your character
One class at a time, five ranks each (5,000 to 250,000 groschen). In a raid the whole party gets every member's class buff, so a mixed party is stronger. A respec moves your ranks to another class. Skills don't grow by themselves: spend skill points - from your golly.gg level, siege XP and every siege - one level at a time or along a template.
Vanguard
Holds the line: the whole party takes up to 20% less damage.
Cleric
Tends the wounded: the party heals over time - the only steady healing in a raid.
Berserker
Leads the charge: the party deals up to 25% more damage.
Ranger
The only class that can use a bow - and at ranks 4 and 5, pistoles and hand cannons. Party ranged hits up to +50%.
Sapper
Places stone piles, cannons and trebuchets in the field during a siege.
Gear
Nothing is looted in Kuttenberg - no chests, no shelves, no bodies. Every raider leaves the scraps of what he wore in your stash (shared with the whole party), and the smith turns them into the game's own arms and armour: 380 recipes, from a beggar's tunic to a Kastenbrust, crossbows, guns and their ammunition. Your stash is your storage - equip, sell or craft from the menu (Insert).
Forged at crafting level 15+ from masterwork scraps, steel and knights' insignia. Their power works in sieges.
Emberfall
Greatsword
Bursts into flame on every hit; the raider burns for 4 s.
Dragon's Breath
Ash longbow
Arrows land in fire and set raiders burning.
The Raven's Verdict
Warhammer
One hit in four knocks the raider down for 2.5 s.
Silver Requiem
Noble sabre
Heals you for 15% of the damage dealt; +40% against knights.
Widow's Reach
Poleaxe
Every hit also strikes raiders within 3 m for half.
Thunderclap
Hand cannon
Shots burst: raiders within 4 m take 60% of the hit.

Getting started
You need your own copy of the game on Steam, installed and up to date.
Multiplayer comes from KCD:MP, a free community mod with its own launcher. Download it and point it at your game folder.
Open kcd-mp.comIn the launcher, use Direct connect with kcd.golly.gg:7777, or find golly.gg in the Servers list.
Read the rules, then choose a password: your launcher name is your account. You can change both later here, once your character is linked to Steam (type /link in game).
Press Insert for the menu - your stash, the store, the Forge, quests and the siege - and talk to the Siegemaster to raise a party. Play fair: read the Siege rules.
