golly.gg / community

Rules

Short version: play fair and don't be a pain. These apply on every golly.gg server, in our Discord and on this website.

Last updated 14 October 2026

Everywhere

  1. Respect people. No harassment, hate speech, slurs, threats, or targeting anyone for who they are. Banter is fine; making someone's evening miserable isn't.
  2. No cheating. No hacks, aimbots, ESP, scripts or macros that play for you, and no modified game files beyond our mod list.
  3. No exploiting. Duplication glitches, going under the map, and abusing bugs for loot or kills are cheating. Found one? Report it on Discord. We'd rather thank you than ban you.
  4. One account per person. Alt accounts to dodge a ban, farm coins or claim invite bonuses get every linked account removed and their coins wiped.
  5. No advertising other servers, communities or anything you're selling, in game or on Discord.
  6. Keep names and chat clean. Nothing offensive in player names, base signs or chat. No spamming.
  7. No real-money trading of in-game items, accounts or coins.
  8. Staff have the final say. If something isn't covered here but is clearly ruining it for others, staff can act on it. Disagree with a decision? Open a ticket on Discord and stay calm; we read every appeal.

Project Zomboid

  • PvP is on, with the PvP safety toggle. Killing other survivors is part of the game.
  • No spawn camping: don't repeatedly kill freshly spawned players or the same person over and over.
  • Safehouses can be claimed, and other players can enter and loot them. Lock up and hide your best gear.
  • Don't block shared spots (roads, bridges, key buildings in town) with walls or vehicles.

DayZ

  • The general rules above apply in full.
  • Base-building and combat rules for DayZ are being finalised and will be posted here. Until then, ask staff on Discord if you're unsure.

What happens if you break them

Depending on how serious it is: a warning, a kick, a temporary ban, or a permanent ban. Cheating and hate speech go straight to a ban. Coins earned by breaking the rules are removed.

Reporting someone

Open a ticket on our Discord with the server, the time (roughly), the player's name and anything you saved (screenshots or clips help a lot). See Help & FAQ for more.
